Students will be able to: (general competences) demonstrate basic knowledge of natural science, apply theoretical knowledge in practice, transfer, assess and apply knowledge in practice to resolve problems by linking together knowledge from various fields, and seek new sources of knowledge, demonstrate practical technical knowledge acquired through the study of theoretical and practical cases, solve problems and make professional decisions in practice, be openly communicative and be familiar with information technology, pursue lifelong learning, show independence, self-criticism and professional ethical responsibility, (subject-specific competences) be familiar with the practical raising of various species of domestic animal and field crop production, know various farming procedures and tasks, know the impact of raising livestock on the quality of animal products, know the economic aspects of decision-making on an agricultural holding, manage and head an agricultural holding in terms of production, equipment and buildings, supplementary activities and economics, have a systematic knowledge that enables an understanding and linking of various aspects of agriculture and animal husbandry, know and optimise organisational and production processes on an agricultural holding, transfer agricultural and agrarian economics and organisational knowledge into practice, understand and take advantage of the importance of agriculture and animal husbandry in food production, use of space, environmental conservation and protection, sustainability and environmentally-friendly approaches, understand technical literature.
