This course will provide students with a thorough practical knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, garden maintenance, and plant propagation making it the perfect program to gain employment with Landscapers, Public Parks, Nurseries, and Garden Centres. The modules allow students to select based on their chosen area of interest.

Plant Identifcation, Ornamental Horticulture, Biological Diversity, Plant Propogation, Communications, Plant Science, Soil Science and Growing Media, Plant Protection.

Leaving certificate or its equivalent is advised. Mature students are welcome to apply. Life/work experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Successful learners will acquire practical knowledge in horticulture and ecological studies. The ability to design and manage domestic landscaping, private gardens, public parks and nurseries, and market gardens. Graduates who achieve the required standard may be eligible for the advanced program or third-level degree certificate programmes in horticulture.
