Explain the basic principles of chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and botany necessary for work in the field of agriculture. Assess the suitability of ecological and edaphic factors for sustainable plant and animal production. Choose species, assortments and breeds, as well as cultivation technology and maintaining the health of plants and animals. Recommend the method of processing, sorting and storing stocks of plant and animal products, as well as the distribution of goods. Choose methods of processing and preservation of raw materials of plant and animal origin, depending on the quality characteristics of the raw material and the application of microorganisms. Apply the principles of spatial planning and design the interior and exterior according to the needs and possibilities of the agro-tourism economy and the conditions of the location. Recommend ecologically acceptable methods of hygiene, maintenance and waste management in agriculture, tourism and hospitality. Argue selected sales skills and ways of managing the supply chain, purchasing and sales process. Apply communication and presentation skills in written and oral communication with stakeholders in agritourism. Create entrepreneurial programs in agritourism. Recommend appropriate organizational solutions in the business process. To investigate the characteristics of the market in rural tourism. Analyze business performance and business documentation in agritourism within the framework of the legislation of the Republic of Croatia. Design and present the tourist and catering offer in rural tourism.
