The assistant florist performs simpler work operations during the propagation, cultivation and care of flowers, potted plants and succulents, perennials and dendrological material in the nursery, glasshouse, greenhouse or outdoors, as well as auxiliary work in the flower shop under the supervision of a qualified worker. In the flower shop, he/she sorts flowers and plant material, changes the water, prepares material for arranging bouquets, wreaths, holiday and festive arrangements, puts plant material on wire and makes less demanding arrangements. He/she pays special attention to neatly arranged plant material and tools.
