By completing the three-year forestry programme, students are trained to carry out work in the forest with due regard for occupational safety; to carry out felling, tree processing and trunk cutting; to haul and collect assortments and to work in the ramp area; to carry out felling and harvesting operations in special and emergency situations; to maintain forest thoroughfares and small watercourses; and to maintain hand tools, chainsaws and tools for work in the forest and in the forest nurseries.

Certificate holders will be able to: plan and organise their own work, perform work in forests observing safety at work, perform felling, tree processing and bucking, haul and collect varieties and work on a loading ramp, fell and haul wood in special and extraordinary circumstances, maintain forest functions and forest roads and minor watercourses, maintain hand tools, chainsaws and accessories for work in forests and forest nurseries, cooperate in a group and communicate with co-workers, use information and communication technology to search, process and evaluate data in their work, act responsibly at the work place to ensure their own safety and health at work and to protect the environment, Elective: selecting, sorting and mechanically processing wood and semi-products and cutting logs on machines for primary timber processing, performing supervision and monitoring the state of wild animals in hunting grounds, producing, tending and preserving seeds and producing seedlings of woody plants. Certificate holders supplement their key vocational knowledge and abilities with key general knowledge in line with national standards.
