Basic principles of the course: three group meetings per month between March and December; a combination of lectures and practical demonstrations at my own hives in various urban locations around Ljubljana; theory: biology of the bee and the bee family, familiarization with pastures throughout the season,different beekeeping technologies, theory and practice of controlling bee pests with natural means, preparing bees for winter; familiarization with HACCP guidelines, veterinary regulations and beekeeping legislation.
