Learning outcomes
An agrotourism technician must have knowledge of organic production of vegetables, fruit, vines and other agricultural and food products. For his/her work, he/she needs basic knowledge about the general characteristics of domestic animals, the way they reproduce, proper feeding and animal care, and the processes of meat, milk and egg production. Agrotourism technicians should have well-developed skills in horticultural arrangement of the farm, arrangement of the yard with decorative trees, bushes, flowers and lawns - from formation and planting to care and maintenance. Also, knowledge and skills in preparing and serving food while nurturing traditional cuisine and customs are desirable. An agrotourism technician should know how to design content and offers, as well as presentations and promotion of their own services. He/she should know the history and traditions of the Croatian countryside, folk costumes, handicrafts, folk customs and songs. An agrotourism technician should be communicative, creative and resourceful, for example in the organization of different ways of recreation and organizing free time in nature and in the countryside.
