As the AgriNext project enters its final stage, partners gathered in Granada, Spain, for the last Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), held from 17 to 19 March, marking an important milestone in the project’s implementation.

Over the three days, partners reviewed progress achieved and aligned on the final steps ahead. Particular attention was given to ensuring the long-term sustainability and uptake of the project’s main results—the AgriNext Incubators and the AgriNext IT Platform—so as to maximise their impact beyond the project’s lifetime.

During the meeting, partners managing the incubators presented activities already carried out within the newly established AgriNext Incubators, along with their long-term plans and sustainability perspectives.

The AgriNext Incubators, established in Ireland, Spain, Croatia, and Slovenia, create dynamic physical and virtual environments that bring together students, farmers, agripreneurs, educators, trainers, employers, guidance service providers, mentors, researchers, and policymakers. They support the development of competencies in multifunctional agriculture, with a strong focus on digital innovation, climate resilience, and circular economy principles. More than learning spaces, they function as ecosystems that foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between education and practice, while contributing to rural development.

Alongside the incubators, a central outcome of the project is the AgriNext IT Platform, developed by project partner Arctur as a digital learning environment in multifunctional agriculture. It connects stakeholders across Europe and supports knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the sharing of practices, including interaction between the virtual AgriNext incubators.

The platform provides structured AgriNext Training courses and encourages active user participation through community-based activities, enabling participants to contribute their own experiences and learn from others.

With the project now in its final months, partners are intensifying efforts to scale and promote its key results, particularly the AgriNext Incubators and the AgriNext IT Platform. Discussions also addressed concrete exploitation pathways, stakeholder engagement, and mechanisms to support continued use and further development of the project outputs.

To support this, national conferences will be organised in all partner countries, bringing project results closer to stakeholders and encouraging wider uptake among educators, learners, and professionals in agriculture and rural development.

The AgriNext project continues to strengthen skills, foster innovation, and support sustainable development in rural areas across Europe.
