AgriNext Campus C贸rdoba: A Week of Learning, Connection, and Inspiration
28. 4. 2025
The AgriNext Campus in Córdoba, held from April 21 to 25, brought together participants and finalists from the AgriNext video trailer contest for an enriching week of learning, cultural exchange, and collaboration around multifunctional agriculture.
The program began with a warm welcome and an in-depth session on the role of multifunctional agriculture in Andalusia. Participants explored how the region balances innovation, sustainability, and tradition in its farming systems. The experience was deepened by a guided tour through Córdoba’s historic center, offering insights into the city's cultural heritage and its longstanding relationship with the land.
Later in the week, participants visited the Vaquena agro-livestock farm, where they experienced sustainable, soil-to-table practices firsthand. The visit included a farm-to-table lunch in a peaceful rural setting, highlighting the value of local production and circular food systems. That afternoon, the group explored the Cueva de los Murciélagos, a prehistoric cave that provided a striking historical contrast to modern agricultural practices.
One of the most dynamic parts of the campus was the Agrinext Escape Room Challenge, an outdoor team-based activity spread across Córdoba’s Zoo, City of Children, and Botanical Garden. Participants collaborated to solve the mystery of Dr. Lucía Castillo and the Tree of Life, combining adventure with agricultural learning in a playful and engaging way.
The week culminated in the Final Gala and Awards Ceremony, celebrating the outstanding creativity of the video trailer contest finalists. Awards were presented to three powerful and inspiring entries:
- First Place: How buying food locally supports multifunctional agriculture – Slovenia
- Second Place: Multifunctional agriculture for conserving patrimony – Spain
- Third Place: Beyond Farming: The future of Sustainable and Multifunctional Agriculture – Croatia
The final day included a visit to “La Finca”, where students from IES Galileo Galilei presented their innovative agricultural projects, followed by the official conclusion of the Campus - Multifunctional Agriculture Skills Week - a reflective and celebratory end to an unforgettable experience.
