Cordoba (Spain), 21/02/2024 - 22/02/2024

IES Galileo Galilei actively participated in the Spanish congress We Sow Future (“Sembramos Futuro”), promoting the AgriNext Project through an informative stand. The event focused on sharing insights into the present and future of the agri-food sector, along with its current needs.

IES Galileo contributed with three presentations attended by the center's students: 'Profiles and Digital Skills in the Agri-food Sector' by José Ramón Arjona, Erasmus+ IES Galileo coordinator; 'Training Needs in the Agri-food Sector' by Miguel Ángel Fiñana, Spanish coordinator of the AgriNext project; and 'Young Repopulators of Rural Areas, Entrepreneurship, and Digitalization' by María Miró Arias, professor and collaborator of the AgriNext project.

Both the presentations and the AgriNext stand garnered significant interest from attendees and the media, emphasizing the importance of modernizing the agri-food sector through digitalization while optimizing resources and respecting the environment. Students present at the AgriNext stand also highlighted the significance of working towards women's equality in the agricultural sector and promoting agrotourism to counter the depopulation of many rural areas in Spain.
